Rapid Assessment of the Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Migrant Mineworkers and Families in Selected Countries

The ex-mineworker population are at high risk to contract the virus given their age and some of them have compromised lung function due to silicosis. Health Focus has been commissioned to conduct a rapid assessment in South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini and Lesotho on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on migrant mineworkers, former mineworkers and their families. This assessment is being conducted via a telephonic survey conducted by partner associations in each of the countries.
